Blowouts on the M3 are a different job entirely
At motorway speed a tyre rarely goes down slowly. It lets go, and what's left can't be repaired. So the van carries stock as well as a repair kit, and the emergency line runs round the clock. Get off the carriageway to a lay-by or the services first, then ring us.
If you're stopped on the M3 or the ring road
Get out of the car and get behind the barrier, on the far side from the traffic. That matters more than anything to do with the tyre.
On a motorway hard shoulder we'd normally ask you to have the recovery service move the car somewhere safer first, then ring us to fit the tyre there. We're not being awkward about it. Kneeling at a wheel a metre from a live 70 limit isn't worth it to save half an hour.
Off the motorway it's different. Lay-bys on the A339 and the A30, side roads off the ring road, retail park car parks and the slip roads at junctions 6 and 7 are all places we can work safely.
Which parts of Basingstoke we get to quickest
North of the town, Chineham, Popley, Lychpit and Old Basing are the first places we reach coming off the A33, so they tend to be the quickest.
South and west, Brighton Hill, Hatch Warren, Kempshott, Buckskin and Winklebury are a straight run round the ring road once we're in.
The town centre, Eastrop and Oakridge are fine too, though with on-street parking we sometimes end up working from a slightly different spot to the one you first had in mind. Tell us the road and we'll sort that out on the phone.
